Walter Clark

Walter is a partner in our corporate finance unit, advising on mergers and acquisitions, equity investments, joint ventures and corporate restructuring projects, as well as undertaking general corporate advisory work. Walter offers particular experience in the financial services sector.  He worked on secondment to Standard Life in the lead up to its demutualisation, and with RBS on its consortium takeover bid for ABN Amro.

His recent work includes advising:

• Standard Life on its recommended takeover of Focus Solutions Group;
• South Korean conglomerate E-Land Group on its acquisition of Lochcarron John Buchan;
• The vendors of Scottish Food Quality Certification Limited on their sale to Certus Compliance, backed by Canter Equity;
• Robin Howie on the sale of Howie Group to BSW Timber;
• Standard Life on its acquisition of threesixty Services;
• Bright Horizons on a series of corporate acquisitions in Scotland.

Walter also has a degree in accounting and finance and is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
