Richard specialises in dispute resolution in the construction sector. He has successfully defended and pursued complex and high value disputes through adjudication and in court. He regularly acts for contractors, subcontractors, local authorities - with strong experience of schools project agreement disputes -  and housing associations.

A former artillery officer, Richard adopts a strategic approach to construction dispute resolution. Richard is a keen proponent of  mediation  and other alternative options to resolving  disputes.
