Peter Lawson

Peter heads our corporate finance unit.  He originally trained with Burness, and returned as a partner after having worked in the London office of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.  Peter advises on a broad range of corporate matters, with a particular focus on public and private M&A, private equity, joint ventures and corporate restructuring.

His recent work includes advising:

• Standard Life on various transactions including the acquisitions of Focus Solutions Group plc, Vebnet (Holdings) plc and threesixty Services LLP;

• Robin Howie on the sale of Howie Group to BSW Timber;

• Massimo Zanetti on the restructuring of Puccino’s; and

• Highland Spring on the acquisition of Speyside Glenlivet.

Peter is singled out as a leading individual in corporate finance in Legal 500 and Chambers UK and is recommended in Legal 500 as being “personable and sharp”.  He is a member of the firm’s Governance & Strategy Board.
