Lindsay Wallace
Lindsay is a qualified corporate lawyer who has worked in both private practice and in industry. She has a wide range of experience, particularly in respect of mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, commercial contracts, intellectual property and the resolution of material contract disputes. In both of her in-house positions, she worked closely with the board of directors, providing advice and guidance on all legal issues, as well as playing an active role in regulatory matters, corporate strategy and public relations. She played a key project manager role for several matters within these organisations which required management and business skills in addition to her legal ability. As a result of these experiences, Lindsay is well versed in providing practical advice and solutions to legal and business issues.
In her current role, Lindsay has responsibility for knowledge throughout Burness, leading a team of professional support lawyers. This role encompasses the delivery of training programmes for solicitors throughout the firm, ensuring that all pertinent legal developments are appropriately communicated and maintaining and developing the firm’s precedent documentation.
She is also responsible for ensuring compliance with various internal risk management policies. Lindsay also has management responsibility for the firm’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme.
