Joanne Hennessy

Joanne has considerable experience of advising employers, in both the public and private sectors, on a variety of employment matters, both contentious and non-contentious. She is exposed to a wide range of issues, including drafting, providing HR support, supporting large restructures, advice on equality duties and complex TUPE transactions and providing employment support to corporate finance, projects and property teams in business transfers and investments. Joanne also delivers our bespoke employment law training to senior managers and HR teams.

Joanne has a particular specialism in business immigration, having previously worked in the employment and immigration team of a leading international law firm in the United Arab Emirates. She works with employers on their UK immigration needs, including advising and assisting employers in relation to sponsorship under the Points-Based System and the changes that have and continue to be made to the UK immigration system further to the immigration cap, sponsorship licence applications and visa applications. Joanne also acts as a Level One User of the Sponsorship Management System for employers.
