The Employment Act 2008: Repeal of the Statutory Disciplinary and Grievance Procedures
The Employment Act 2008 (“the Act”) which, for the most part, comes into force on 6 April 2009, repeals the heavily criticised statutory disciplinary and grievance procedures and introduces a new Code of Practice for employers and employees to follow when dealing with disciplinary and grievance matters.
